recently released her Netflix original series called “Tidying Up” and my goodness are people talking about it! With the series, it is becoming apparent to many people that they may benefit from having a Professional Organizer help them within their home.

When Colette and I were finished organizing my house, there was an immediate and profound shift in my level of energy and sense of peace. Organizing my house and life seemed like an impossible project to me, but working with Colette, it was accomplished in short order and it was actually FUN to do. Colette inspires each environment she enters with calm vigor. Her style is both practical and unique. Sensible and witty. My experience with Colette at Kalani Retreat Center brought a certain order and discipline into my own life and work. Room to Room/Colette set up a file system in my private office and organized and filed documents piled in my business office as well. It felt liberating to finally know where to find things. She also organized several storage lockers full of building materials, furniture and maintenance supplies. The result was improved access to needed items which makes for a more efficient operation.

Having never hired a personal organizer before, I didn’t really know what to expect. Would this person understand if I wasn’t ready to let go of something stored in my garage? Would she understand me emotionally if I found myself shedding a few tears when I realized it was time to let go of some nostalgic stuff from my childhood? Would she have a good sense of decorating in putting the stuff to keep back into my new space? Yes, yes, and yes, and then so much more. At the start of the first day I honestly could not imagine how I was going to finish what needed to happen, but Colette quickly helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know that my place would still be TOTAL CHAOS had I not worked with her. She made the victory of finishing so sweet and fun. My life is richer having worked with her. I have yet to meet another individual with the same dynamic collection of gifts and assets when it comes to organizing. I will always happily refer her to my family, close friends and all perfect strangers at every opportunity, hands-down. Now I have a deluxe, organized space to live in and I can honestly smile when I think back and remember how it went, working alongside her.
Colette is a miracle worker. We spent a day in my studio: a studio crammed with undone projects, arts and craft supplies, and mounds of paper. My desk was always covered in an assortment of clutter. I had become so used to the chaos I couldn’t really see it any more. Colette rolled up her sleeves and we started to work. Colette has a knack for using what you have around your house in more efficient ways. I didn’t need to go to an organizing store and buy more “organizing paraphernalia”. She suggested changes that have made a world of difference in how I create and work when I am in my studio. Colette kept her focus entirely on getting a completed project and worked diligently to do so. At the end of the day, the space was transformed. I now walk into the studio just to feel the difference. I highly recommend her service and would be happy to talk to you in person.
Colette was a combination personal assistant/project manager for me while I was overseeing the finishing of building a home while living in another state. Her job description was “whatever needs to be done”, from paying workers and keeping records of purchases, sanding walls, to finding a car mechanic, organizing belongings, errands etc, etc! She was utterly reliable, detail oriented, a great communicator and I relied on her opinions for design choices that were hard to make from a distance. In a world where integrity, commitment, and good old common sense are a bit of a rarity, Colette is an absolute gem, and a delight to work with. I only wish I had more projects so I could keep her more actively in my life!
I would like to highly recommend Colette Roy. She has a great eye for creating spaces that are comfortable, relaxing, and just plain make sense. She is also gifted at organizing and helping rid of clutter, disorder, and mess. She worked on my basement and did a tremendous job of rearranging, clearing out, and making the space homey, organized, and a place I would like to spend time. My basement was filled with problems – too much junk and a guest room that contained a bed, a full drum sett, and a computer area. She was able to help me sift through the boxes and piles, she remained calm and sensitive, making it easy for me to let go of items that I didn’t need or want any longer. She moved my bed to the middle of the room, and like that, the room transformed. The area seemed instantly larger, comfortable, and a place I would now welcome guests. She also organized my kitchen drawers, items that I use on a regular basis were now easily accessible, creating a space that made much more sense to use and work in. Colette is an insightful, hard-working, and talented individual. I look forward to having her in my home for another round of clutter-busting!
