About Colette

Colette spent the first half of her life on the East Coast, growing up in New Hampshire and spending summers on the coast of Maine. The East holds a special place in her heart with its salty air, great friends and the strong work ethic which rubbed off on her at age 14.

Migrating to Boulder, Colorado in 1993, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Colorado. Once attained, she traded it in for her 

next goal: creating a residential cleaning company. Colette’s Cleaning Service kicked into high gear in 1998, teaching her the in’s and out’s of owning, organizing and managing a business that grew to 13 lovely employees through 2002. That year she decided it was time to travel and see the world. She released all their worldly possessions, setting off to the Caribbean with a one way tickets, a tent and a backpacks. Her travels took her far and wide…

• sailing down the Windward Caribbean Islands
• studying at Kripalu, a yoga retreat center in western Massachusetts
• consulting on the Big Island of Hawai’i
• and exploring Alaska

…in what turned out to be almost a five year ADVENTURE! One of the most important things learned: “I am not my possessions and my possessions are not me.” She arrived back in Boulder in late 2005 and purchased one of the original tiny homes, a mobile home! Colette now enjoys the day-to-day life of this sweet little home that was appropriately named “Casita”. The small size of the home constantly reminds her to release items which no longer serve, allowing the space to feel uncluttered, spacious and peaceful. Living in small spaces, carrying everything she owned in a pack and learning the deep lessons of attachment gives Colette a unique perspective to support her client’s discovery of what’s truly important to them.
